No Magic Wand

Some things can’t be mentioned enough. A quick Google search for “credit repair” will lead a websurfer to all sorts of sites that tout themselves as “magic fixes” for poor credit. These gimmicky services tend to scream to the viewer about how wonderful they are. There are all sorts of “testimonials” that sound overwhelmingly contrived and false.

There is no magic fix. There’s no wand that can “erase” bad credit. These scam artists try to present themselves as legit companies when all they do is offer “one size fits all” fixes. Sure, they may take some of the steps legit credit repair attorney’s take. If they aren’t challenging erroneous entries on your credit report, then they need to have their heads examined.

But, what happens if a creditor claims the erroneous entry is correct when reality says otherwise? Where’s the “magic wand” then? What happens if the credit reporting company isn’t responsive? In short, what happens when your situation falls beyond the boundaries of their band-aid fixes? Flashy font will not fix credit; hard word does.

The credit repair attorneys at Smith and Garg know that fixing credit isn’t easy. They carry no magic wands, but they do develop a personalized plan based upon your specific situation and goals to improve your credit. They don’t shoe-horn their clients into “one size fits all” behavior. One size doesn’t fit all. That one size doesn’t fit most. Maybe they don’t have flashing font, sparkly colors, or big bold lettering meant to show you snake oil. That’s because they don’t have snake oil. They have plans and diligent work.

Have you ever watched an infomercial where the talking heads on TV seem way too excited to be talking about cleaning a bathroom? That’s the way most of these scam credit repair clinics come across. That’s not solid credit repair law at work. That’s just cheesy marketing.
